And remember, Jesus loves you & will help you memorize these verses.

None but those who have fortified the mind with the truths of the Bible will stand through the last great conflict. To every soul will come the searching test: Shall I obey God rather than men? The decisive hour is even now at hand. Are our feet planted on the rock of God’s immutable word? Are we prepared to stand firm in defense of the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus?  GC 593.2

Fortify the mind with the truths of the Bible

When the time of trial shall come there are men now preaching to others who will find, upon examining the positions they hold, that there are many things for which they can give no satisfactory reason. Until thus tested they knew not their great ignorance. And there are many in the church who take it for granted that they understand what they believe, but, until controversy arises, they do not know their own weakness. When separated from those of like faith and compelled to stand singly and alone to explain their belief, they will be surprised to see how confused are their ideas of what they had accepted as truth.   LDE 70.1

Jesus promised His disciples: “The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26. But the teachings of Christ must previously have been STORED in the mind in order for the Spirit of God to bring them to our remembrance in the time of peril. “Thy word have I hid in mine heart,” said David, “that I might not sin against Thee.” Psalm 119:11.   GC 600.1

Memory: the power or process of reproducing or recalling what has been learned and retained especially through associative mechanisms.

The servants of Christ are to prepare no set speech to present when brought to trial for their faith. Their preparation is to be made day by day, in treasuring up in their hearts the precious truths of God's Word, in feeding upon the teaching of Christ, and through prayer strengthening their faith; then, when brought into trial, the Holy Spirit will bring to their remembrance the very truths that will reach the hearts of those who shall come to hear. God will flash the knowledge obtained by diligent searching of the Scriptures into their memory at the very time when it is needed.  LDE 69.2

Several times each day, precious golden moments should be consecrated to prayer & the study of the Scriptures, if it is only to commit a text to memory, that spiritual life may exist in the soul.   LDE 66.6

To enhance your ability to recall the chapter number and verse number, BibleRICH uses the associative mechanism technique by drawing pictures with the chapter number and verse number in it. The pictures have an icon for each book which gives you another associative mechanism.

In a very special sense 7th day Adventists have been set in the world as watchmen and light bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining the wonderful light from the word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import - the proclamation of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd angels’ messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention. 9T 19.1
